Marlene (also known as Marlenka) is a popular and traditional Armenian honey cake. This rich in honey trifle cake is composed of few layers of honey cake, holding a sweet butterscotch cream between them. This cake can be kept for a longer time then you usual sponge, and with each passing day the sponge is getting softer and more saturated, until after a few days, it melts in your mouth. Enjoy!
