Hungarian Esterhazy torte is a rich dessert consisting of chocolate buttercream sandwiched between few layers of sponge cake. It is purportedly named after 19th-century Prince Esterhazy of Hungary, of a family close to Austrian royalty (and all their fabulous desserts).
